It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Vice Admiral George Davis, or as he preferred to be known around TTP, "Uncle Boney."
Vice Admiral Davis, along with his wife, Jean, was The Therapy Place’s most steadfast supporter. His generosity, both in financial contributions and countless hours of volunteer work, profoundly shaped our mission and our ability to serve families in need.
For several years, until his health would no longer allow it, he frequented the clinic making roof repairs, clearing the property, and instilling years of experience and knowledge to our co-founder, Dawn, wife to his nephew James Darby. He knew all the staff by name, visiting with them to ask their needs and any barriers to providing the best care. He also knew the children by name and they loved to greet him as he walked into the classroom. No doubt, he left an indelible mark on our organization and the lives of so many within our community.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Aunt Jean Davis, his family and loved ones during this difficult time. Vice Admiral Davis’s dedication and kindness will be dearly missed, but his impact will be felt for generations to come.
